STIX & BHAWA is a youth-centred organisation dedicated to supporting and inspiring children in Zimbabwe through football coaching, sports development, and cultural learning. Our mission is not only to teach football, but to create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment where every child can grow, build confidence, and discover their true potential.
We believe that every young person deserves the chance to develop their skills and strengthen their character. With the guidance of experienced coaches and caring mentors, our programmes help children improve step by step from basic techniques to advanced football abilities. Alongside physical training, we teach important values such as teamwork, discipline, respect and healthy living.
At STIX & BHAWA, we also integrate cultural learning to help children understand their identity, traditions, and community values. This creates a balanced experience that supports both their athletic development and personal growth.
Our goal is to ensure that children in Zimbabwe grow not only into skilled players, but into confident, responsible, and well rounded individuals.

Other Sports & Cultural Music Learning
We believe in developing well rounded young individuals by offering more than just football. Alongside our core training, we provide a range of other sports activities and cultural music learning programmes that help children explore their talents, build confidence, and enjoy a richer learning experience.
We offer far more than traditional football training. Our Multi Sports Learning programme gives children the opportunity to explore a wider range of physical activities, helping them develop strength, coordination, confidence and lifelong healthy habits.
More Than Football
Multi-Sports Learning
We introduce young learners to different sports and movement-based activities that encourage teamwork, discipline and problem solving skills. By engaging in a variety of sports, children gain a broader understanding of fitness while discovering what they enjoy and where their natural talents shine.
Cultural Development & Music Learning
Our Cultural Development & Music Learning programme helps children connect with their heritage, build confidence, and develop a deeper sense of identity through creative expression. Through traditional music, instruments, rhythm activities and cultural storytelling, children learn to appreciate their roots and understand the values that shape their community. These sessions encourage creativity, teamwork and emotional expression while helping young learners develop important social and communication skills.
Our Head Coach & Mentor
Stanford Stix Mutizwa
Stix Mutizwa, born in Harare, Zimbabwe, is a seasoned football professional whose journey from a young boy playing in Mbare to one of the country’s most respected midfielders has inspired countless aspiring players. Known for his dazzling skills and vision on the field, Stix earned recognition as one of the finest midfielders in Zimbabwean local football.
His talent was evident early on, earning him a place in the Dynamos Under-16 team at just 14 years old. He later played for Mutambara United, Glen Strikers where he worked alongside Kembo Chunga and Joseph Chingundo and eventually Caps United Football Club, sharing the pitch with notable players including Stanley Ndunduma, Joel “Jubilee” Shambo, Shacky Tauro, Friday Phiri, and Brenna Msiska.
Stix earned his first Zimbabwe Warriors call-up in 1980, scoring the decisive goal from the penalty spot in a memorable match against Malawi. He later joined the army side, Black Rhinos, where he solidified his reputation as one of Zimbabwe’s most talented midfielders.

Straight Outta MBARE celebrates the heart, spirit, and talent of Zimbabwe’s vibrant Mbare community. We are proud to nurture young talent straight from this iconic neighbourhood, providing children with opportunities to grow through football, sports and cultural learning.
